The Broken Rain Incursion is the second Incursion in The Division 2, added with the Year 8 Season 2 Into the Dark update. It takes the fight to Steel Creek Dam and the Hydroelectric Plant in rural Pennsylvania, where the Rikers have seized the facility. This guide covers the full Day One blind clear, every boss, the mechanics that wipe unprepared teams, and the exclusive rewards.
Broken Rain is a four-player Incursion with four major encounters. Each one punishes teams that ignore mechanics more than teams that lack damage.
The opening boss is a chainsaw-wielding Riker with heavy armor. Lester is mostly a DPS check, but elite snipers spawn throughout the fight and can shred an unorganized team. Assign one player to handle the sniper spawns while the rest focus the boss.
The second encounter is an escort phase: the team protects a Warhound as it moves through a long stretch of road. Keep at least one player near the Warhound at all times and clear the ambush spawns before they stack up.
The third encounter adds a multitasking mechanic. Turrets need to be disabled by shooting the weak point on the boss's back, and the team has to split attention between the mechanic and incoming pressure.
The final boss uses armor-repair mechanics. Use thermite charges on the SHD caches during the encounter to stop her from repairing her armor, and keep a tank or healer loadout ready for the sustained fight.
Broken Rain is endgame content, so the loot reflects it. The reward categories include:

What is the Broken Rain Incursion in The Division 2? Broken Rain is the second Incursion added to The Division 2 with the Year 8 Season 2 Into the Dark update. It takes place at Steel Creek Dam and the Hydroelectric Plant in rural Pennsylvania, where the Rikers have taken over the facility.
How many players do you need for Broken Rain? Broken Rain is designed as a four-player Incursion. Matchmaking is supported, so you can queue without a pre-made group, but a coordinated team is strongly recommended for a first clear.
Can you solo Broken Rain? You can enter solo, but it is not recommended. The encounters are designed around coordinated four-player mechanics, and raw damage does not replace team coordination.
What are the Broken Rain bosses? The Incursion features four bosses: Lester Steel (a chainsaw-wielding DPS check with elite sniper spawns), a Warhound escort encounter, Iris, and the final boss Marguerite Steel with armor-repair mechanics.
What rewards does Broken Rain give? Completing Broken Rain rewards endgame loot plus Incursion-exclusive rewards: the Steel & Sons ACR exotic rifle, the Beats Per Minute mask for flawless completion, Golden/Silver/Bronze Beaver arm patches based on clear time, a gear dye, and a backpack trophy for the flawless end boss kill.
Is there a World First race for Broken Rain? No. Ubisoft confirmed that Broken Rain does not use the World First competition format used by previous end-game releases.
