How to Unlock It

Progress the Red Horizon season on any character and claim the Fafnir reward tier on the free track. Because it is a guaranteed season reward rather than a random drop, there is no farm route, seasonal activity, projects and XP all push the track forward.

Dragon's Breath, Explained

Each shot has a 40% chance to apply Burn, and weapon damage scales with half of your Status Effect bonus. Two practical notes: Burn still suffers normal Status Effect diminishing returns on enemies, so the real-world rate feels lower than 40% on tough targets; and the damage scaling rewards stacking Status Effects, which makes fire-oriented brand sets and the build planner your friends.

Build Tips

Pair Fafnir with Status Effect pieces and close-range content (Countdown, open-world bounties, legendary pushes). The fixed +15% crit chance frees one mod slot worth of crit elsewhere. For full setups see tested Division 2 builds.
