How to Unlock It
Sacrum Imperium drops randomly from targeted loot MMR areas and exotic caches. There is no quest chain or specific mission required to obtain it. Farm missions with MMR targeted loot on Heroic or Legendary difficulty for the best drop rates. Exotic Caches from weekly projects and season rewards also have a chance to contain this weapon.
The Trap, Explained
Hold the scope on up to ten targets to tag them, then land a headshot kill on a marked one: it burns for ten seconds while everything nearby slows down. Follow-up headshots recharge the 30-second cooldown faster. It rewards patient aim, not kill-chaining, scope, tag, execute.
Build Tips
Sacrum Imperium excels in patient marksman builds. Prioritize accuracy and headshot damage to secure the marked headshot kill, then let The Trap's burn and slow control the group. In group play, the slow sets up teammates' pushes. For full setups see tested Division 2 builds.
