The Division 2 / Title Update (TU9)

Division 2 TU9 Guide

Title Update 9 launched on April 21, 2020, no new missions, no new season, just the single most-requested system since the expansion: your dusty level-30 exotics could finally grow up. Our plain-language summary below: full texts live on Ubisoft's news hub.

Exotic Reconfiguration

A new bench menu does two things: lifts any exotic to your bench level (cap 40), then re-rolls every attribute above a guaranteed minimum, god-rolls possible, downgrades possible. One exotic component plus materials per spin, blueprints from Inaya, old upgrade prints auto-converted. And the economy tightened the same day: deconstructions dropped from two components to one.

Reworks & Buffs

Diamondback (Rework)Mark a target, enjoy five seconds of guaranteed crits. The underperformer woke up.
Sawyer's Kneepads (Rework)Explosion-proof stance that stacks damage the longer you hold still.
Merciless / Ruthless (Buff)Explosion damage up by a third to compensate for non-scaling crits.
Imperial Dynasty / Dodge City (Buff)Cooldowns cut for the brand-less exotics.
Min-roll FloorAll exotics now roll at the highest possible minimum regardless of source difficulty.

TU9.1 Footnote

Three weeks later (May 14) a tuning-only patch walked back overtuned NPC grenades, status effects and blindfire aim, the community's loudest post-TU9 complaint.

FAQ

When did Title Update 9 launch?
Title Update 9 launched on April 21, 2020, introducing exotic reconfiguration at the crafting bench.
Is reconfiguring a good exotic risky?
Yes. Every attribute bar re-rolls above a guaranteed minimum, so a god-roll can come out weaker. Only gamble what you can afford to lose.
