Tip 1
Farm Cinders First
Clear dense monster packs early in the hour to bank Aberrant Cinders, then spend them at Tortured Gift chests before the Helltide ends. Unspent cinders disappear with the event.
Diablo 4 / Helltide Schedule
Unofficial fan guide. Helltides are the backbone farm of Diablo 4: they spawn every hour on the hour, last 55 minutes, and drop Aberrant Cinders for targeted chests. For the live countdown, check the Diablo 4 event timer.
| Spawn | Every hour on the hour |
|---|---|
| Duration | 55 minutes per Helltide |
| Gap | 5 minutes between Helltides |
| Scope | Server-wide event, visible to all players |
Each hourly Helltide lasts 55 minutes, which leaves a 5-minute gap before the next one starts on the hour. The schedule is deterministic, so spawn times never drift. Use the gap to salvage loot, repair gear, and travel to the next Helltide zone before it opens.
| Aberrant Cinders | Drop from killed monsters during Helltide |
|---|---|
| Tortured Gifts | Spend cinders for targeted gear and materials |
| Living Steel | From Tortured Gifts of Living Steel chests |
| Murmuring Obols | From Tortured Gifts of Mysteries chests |
Tip 1
Clear dense monster packs early in the hour to bank Aberrant Cinders, then spend them at Tortured Gift chests before the Helltide ends. Unspent cinders disappear with the event.
Tip 2
Tortured Gifts of Living Steel chests are the priority when they appear, since Living Steel feeds endgame boss summoning. Plan your route around them.
Tip 3
Chests cost a fixed amount of cinders, so start spending with at least 10 minutes left. The live event timer shows exactly how much time remains.
Track every world event on the Diablo 4 event timer, or check World Boss spawn times and loot before the next 15-minute kill window.
