Diablo 4 / World Boss

Ashava, the Pestilent

Ashava is one of the core Diablo 4 World Bosses: a massive demonic creature that spreads plague and poison across the open world.

Ashava is built around poison and plague rather than raw damage. Her presence is meant to force players to move and to stack together at the right moment, which is why a clean kill on her is usually a coordinated one rather than a solo one.

When Ashava Spawns

World Bosses spawn on a 3.5-hour cycle, which is 210 minutes, and stay in the world for 15 minutes. Blizzard broadcasts a message to all players when the boss is 15 minutes away, and the boss icon appears on your map so you can teleport straight to the spawn point.

The Diablo 4 World Boss timer lists the next twelve spawn times in UTC and in your own time zone, and can send you a browser alert before the window opens. It deliberately does not name the boss for each spawn, because Blizzard does not publish the rotation.

How to Prepare

TormentAncestral items enter the reward pool in Torment III and above.

FAQ

When does Ashava, the Pestilent spawn?
World Bosses spawn on a 3.5-hour cycle, and Ashava appears somewhere in that rotation. Blizzard does not publish the rotation order, so this page does not guess which spawn is next - the [World Boss timer](/diablo-4/world-boss-timer/) lists the next twelve spawn times.
What does Ashava, the Pestilent drop?
Legendary items, summoning materials, experience and Gilding Crests, plus a guaranteed reward cache once per day. In Torment III and above the reward pool includes Ancestral items.
How long do I have to kill it?
Fifteen minutes from the moment it spawns. Blizzard broadcasts a message to all players 15 minutes ahead, and the boss icon appears on your map so you can teleport straight to it.
