Copyright and Quotation Policy

Public pages use original expression

Public pages may publish identifying metadata, independently written summaries, factual lore points, relationship maps and source links. Transmedia records do not publish dialogue, captions, OCR text, translated excerpts, chapter-by-chapter or page-by-page retellings, panels, cover art, scans or downloaded editions.

There is no automatic safe word count or percentage for copying another work. When a source is a book, comic or other expressive work, the archive's default is no verbatim quotation and no visual reproduction unless a separate rights review documents permission or a narrowly necessary exception.

A lore page must add original analysis rather than substitute for the source. It may identify a documented fact or high-level narrative connection, but it must not reconstruct the work's prose, scene sequence, panel sequence or other protected expression.

Source and media gate

Published lore claims use official publisher, developer, government, primary-record or lawfully captured direct-game sources. Unofficial mirrors, file lockers, peer-to-peer links, leaked files and access-controlled material obtained without permission are not accepted as public lore sources.

A source URL may identify where a lawful public edition or official statement can be found, but it cannot point to a downloadable ebook, comic archive, transcript, raw audio, extracted game asset or credentialed/private file. Covers, logos, author photographs, comic art and promotional artwork are excluded unless the archive has a documented right to use them.

Original gameplay capture is used here as an evidence locator, not as a redistributed game asset. It is never mirrored as a downloadable site file and does not itself create permission to reuse footage, music, voice or other game assets; any publication beyond the factual record must comply with the applicable publisher and platform policies.

Names, titles and brand use

Titles, character names and short identifying labels are used only to identify the subject of independent commentary. The archive does not imply publisher approval, reproduce publisher branding as its own, or present source material as a substitute for an official edition.

Private research material

Only lawfully obtained or explicitly authorized research material may be used in the private research workflow. The workflow must not use or publicize copies from unofficial mirrors, peer-to-peer services, file lockers or access controls bypassed without permission.

Private research artifacts never belong in the public repository or its source registry. The repository guard rejects common raw-text, transcript, scan, ebook, download-link, credential and media fields or file formats from public lore paths.

Rights-holder concerns

If a rights-holder identifies a specific public page, claim or asset that may exceed this boundary, that item is removed from public publication while its source and rights basis are reviewed. A correction report should identify the exact URL and material at issue; reporters should not post private legal documents or access credentials in a public issue.

Platform-level copyright notices follow the hosting platform's reporting process. This archive treats a notice as a reason to preserve the record of review, not as permission to republish the disputed material elsewhere.
